Police Officer
Patrol, respond to calls for service, conduct investigations, and build positive community relationships within Milledgeville and Baldwin County.
Communications Officer / Dispatcher
Serve as the critical link between the public and first responders. Receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls 24/7.
Parking Enforcement Officer
Enforce city parking ordinances, assist with traffic control, and provide a positive presence in the downtown corridor and community.

Personal History Statement
Complete the Background Questionnaire covering your personal history, driving record, financial history, and other relevant background information.
Background Investigation
All finalists will undergo a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history, credit check, and reference verification.
Interview & Testing
Qualified candidates will be contacted for an oral board interview. Police Officer candidates must pass a physical fitness evaluation.
Conditional Offer
Successful candidates will receive a conditional offer pending medical evaluation, drug screening, and psychological assessment.
Minimum Qualifications
Police Officer
- ✅ Must be at least 21 years of age
- ✅ U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident
- ✅ High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ✅ Valid Georgia driver's license (or ability to obtain)
- ✅ No felony convictions
- ✅ No domestic violence convictions
- ✅ Georgia POST certification (preferred) or ability to attend academy
Civilian Positions
- ✅ Must be at least 18 years of age
- ✅ U.S. Citizen or authorized to work
- ✅ High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ✅ Valid driver's license
- ✅ No felony convictions
- ✅ Ability to pass background investigation
- ✅ Strong communication skills
